The Tampa Hillsborough EDC’s Marketing and Communications team and Investors Trickey Jennus, Spectrum, and Diamond View won four more awards for their work on the 2016 Annual Report and three exciting videos created for last October’s Annual Meeting.

The EDC’s “Welcome to Tampa Bay,” “THRIVE” and “StandUp Tampa” videos were selected as 2017 Communicator Award winners. The leading international awards program recognizes big ideas in marketing and communications, receiving more than 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes each year. For their 23rd award season, they introduced social and online video categories, where the EDC’s marketing videos won honors.

The StandUp Tampa video, produced by Diamond View, features several local, young entrepreneurs discussing why Tampa is an ideal place for millennial talent to launch their businesses and careers. The Welcome to Tampa Bay video, also produced by Diamond View, promotes the people, places, companies, and qualities that make Tampa and Hillsborough County an exciting business destination. Emmy-award winning studio Spectrum produced the THRIVE video, featuring local elected officials discussing the factors that have led to improved quality of life and economic opportunity in the region.

The EDC’s 2016 Annual Report, “THRIVE,” also won marketing honors at the annual Florida Economic Development Council (FEDC)’s annual conference Chief Marketing Officer Michelle Bauer and Senior Business Development Executive Bea Bare accepted the Innovation in Marketing Award for the EDC’s 2016 Annual Report in the Internal Publication category. FEDC, a statewide organization that educates, advocates for, and connects Florida’s economic development stakeholders, honored the individuals and teams that are helping to drive Florida’s economy forward at the annual event in Ft. Lauderdale.

The EDC worked with Trickey Jennus to create the award-winning piece, which highlighted all of the fiscal year’s accomplishments, project announcements, research initiatives, and plans for the future. The EDC’s Marketing and Communications Department has worked with Trickey Jennus as its agency of record for the past five years, winning many marketing and creative awards along the way.
