ABILITY® Network expands operations in Westshore

Earlier this month, ABILITY® Network announced the expansion of its Tampa operations and intention of creating 75 new jobs by next year. The company plans to add high wage positions in sales, IT, and administration in the operations at One MetroCenter in the Westshore business district.

Founded in 2000, ABILITY is a leading health care IT company that helps providers and payers simplify the administrative processes of health care through applications and data analytics. The national health care IT company currently employs 100 people in Florida, with additional offices across the U.S.

The EDC worked with Enterprise Florida, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the City of Tampa, and Hillsborough County to make this expansion possible.

Florida is ranked third in the nation for high-tech establishments, and the Tampa metro area is home to approximately 20 percent of the state’s IT positions. ABILITY joins a growing list of IT companies who have decided to relocate or expand in Hillsborough County, including Accusoft, BlueGrace Logistics, SunView Software, and Tribridge.
