Bea Bare promoted to Senior Business Development Executive

BEA 2_StaffThe Tampa Hillsborough EDC is excited to announce that Bea Bare has been promoted to Senior Business Development Executive. Bea has been with the EDC since its earliest days, and enjoyed a long and successful tenure at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s Committee of 100 in the years prior to its creation.
 
For several decades, Bea has dedicated her professional life to promoting Tampa and Hillsborough County as an ideal location for business.
 
Projects she has managed since 1980 in Tampa Bay and for seven years in Southwest Florida have yielded over $2.5 billion in direct capital investment and more than 25,000 direct jobs. She has worked with companies such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Citi, Coca-Cola Refreshments, Chromalloy, DTCC, Gordon Food Service, MetLife, New York Life/AARP, PwC, TW Business Services, Time Customer Service, Tampa Ship, Toufayan Bakeries, USAA, and Verizon Wireless.
 
Bare thrives on matching clients’ priorities with relevant, current information and connecting them with subject matter experts. She is at her best when working complex, highly competitive projects with CEOs, community leaders, and other decision-makers involved with economic growth.

Drawing upon her passion for Hillsborough County and experience, she provides expertise and great ideas to the overall EDC strategy.”
 
Bea earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. In 1998, the Florida Economic Development Council presented her with the Eunice Sullivan Award, the Economic Development Professional of the Year for the State of Florida.
