Business Retention & Expansion Development Manager moves to Business Recruitment

September 17, 2015

ADAM_StaffAdam Myers, who joined the Tampa Hillsborough EDC as a Business Development Manager with the Business Retention & Expansion team in October 2014, is moving to the Business Recruitment side. He begins his new role October 1.

Over the past year, Adam has worked closely with the City of Plant City to position it as a premier business destination in eastern Hillsborough County.

He was asked to play key roles in important initiatives such as Plant City Right Now, an economic development conference held last May, and to make presentations to local business leaders and prospects regarding the city’s multimillion dollar water and sewer extension as well as new commercial real estate projects that are shaping the economic future of eastern Hillsborough County.

In March, the Plant City Commission approved the proposal to extend water and sewer lines along County Line Road, a move that will dramatically increase commercial potential and site competitiveness in an area that has become a magnet for distribution, logistics, and light manufacturing operations.

“In the short time he’s been with us, Adam has made significant contributions to our economic development activities in Plant City,” said Rick Homans, President and CEO of the Tampa Hillsborough EDC. “He was the lead on three projects that added 163 new jobs and $8.5 million in capital investment there. One of those projects – Cody Talbert Distribution – brought another corporate headquarters to Hillsborough County. Adam will be an asset to our Business Recruitment team and strengthen our efforts to recruit major headquarter operations.”
