Clearwater’s Hercules Fluid Power Group Bringing 50 Jobs to Tampa

TAMPA — A company that distributes hydraulic and pneumatic seals and cylinders for heavy equipment plans on opening a manufacturing and distribution center that will provide 50 jobs in Hillsborough County, Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s office announced Tuesday.
 
Hercules Fluid Power Group, which has its headquarters in Clearwater, said it will invest $1 million in the project and will receive $120,000 in state tax incentives and an additional $30,000 in incentives from Hillsborough.
 
The company, which said the jobs will have a minimum average salary of nearly $49,000, will lease 35,000 square feet at 8711 Florida Mining Blvd. in unincorporated Hillsborough.
 
Hercules, founded in 1962, has 385 employees in Canada and the United States. The company has facilities in Florida and six other states.
