EDC nominated for Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2016 Best Places to Work

The Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation was one of 60 local businesses to make it on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s list of Best Places to Work.
 
Each year, employees of nominated companies are asked to complete an online survey which measures items such as team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, manager effectiveness, feeling valued, compensation, and benefits. The companies are then ranked, and finalists are chosen in various size categories, according to the scores of their compiled responses.
 
In the “Nearly Big” category, the EDC is joined by companies such as Atlas Professional Services Inc., Diamond View Studios, Eagle Datagistics, iVenture Solutions, Squaremouth, and Vaco Tampa. Some of the biggest local companies made the list in other categories as well, including Florida Blue, Beck Group, Cox Media Group, Laser Spine Institute, and T-Mobile.
 
“It is an honor to be named one of TBBJ’s Best Places to Work,” said J.P. DuBuque, interim president and CEO of the EDC. “The EDC is a great place to work, but to see our name next to some of the biggest and best places in Tampa and Hillsborough County is a great feeling. Our great team here fuels all that we do, and everyone is proud to be a part of this organization.”
