EDC wins big at IEDC Annual Conference

It may not have been the Emmys, but the Tampa Hillsborough EDC walked away with a handful of trophies at the IEDC Annual Conference’s awards ceremony this week.

The EDC received a Bronze Excellence in Economic Development Award in the category of video/multimedia production for its Welcome to Tampa Bay video, as well as a Silver Excellence in Economic Development Award for its most recent annual report, THRIVE.

The video, created and produced by award-winning Diamond View, premiered at last year’s annual meeting and promotes the people, places, companies, and amenities that make Tampa and Hillsborough County a thriving business destination. The annual report, designed by the EDC’s agency of record Trickey Jennus, highlight’s the past fiscal year’s successes and growth on important strategic initiatives.

The EDC’s work with Pinellas County Economic Development and Pasco Economic Development Council, Global Tampa Bay, also won a Bronze Excellence in Economic Development Award in the category of regionalism and cross-border collaboration for the cooperative effort. The tri-county organization is looked at as a model example of collaboration throughout Florida as well as at the national level.
