Going Global: Packages Available for TBEA Mission to Canada

August 6, 2015

If you’re considering new international markets for your business, our neighbor to the north warrants a closer look. On October 19-22, the Tampa Bay Export Alliance (TBEA), a cooperative effort between the Tampa Hillsborough EDC and Pinellas County Economic Development, is hosting a trade mission to Toronto, Canada.

Those interested in participating in the mission can choose from two tracks: Trade/Gold Key and Delegate.

CanadaTradeMission-Brochure-CoverThe Trade/Gold Key package offers participants unparalleled access to companies in Toronto that would be a best match for their products and services. The package includes customized counseling on market entry and expansion strategy, as well as pre-screened one-on-one matchmaking appointments. In Toronto, Gold Key participants have access to a car and driver for appointments, admission to all mission events, a country briefing by U.S. Embassy officials, and transportation during official mission events and flights.

Once companies submit their completed Gold Key registration forms, U.S. Commercial Service industry experts will review the company’s products, services, and objectives for market suitability. Participation will be limited to 15 companies on a first come, first served basis.

All applications for the Trade/Gold Key package are due on Friday, August 14.

For those interested in participating in the mission but not the matchmaking appointments, TBEA has a Delegate track available. Like the Trade/Gold Key package, the Delegate package includes a country briefing by U.S. Embassy officials, admission to all mission event such as receptions and luncheons, access to the “Delegate” agenda including roundtables, site visits, and networking events, as well as transportation during official mission events and flights.

Delegate registration must be complete by Friday, September 11.

“We expect quite a large business delegation for Toronto this fall,” Lorrie Belovich, Director of International Business Development for the Tampa Hillsborough EDC, said. “Between the two packages available, delegates will be able to explore diverse business opportunities available in Canada and build valuable relationships that can have a lasting impact on their organizations’ future.”
