International Town Hall is Coming Soon. Have you Registered?

April 15, 2015

On May 8, hundreds of local exporters, business and community leaders will gather at the Hilton Carillon in St. Petersburg to kick of World Trade Month with the 2015 International Town Hall, presented by the Tampa Bay Export Alliance.

The half-day event will offer attendees insider perspectives on the hottest global trade opportunities for local businesses, an update on the progress of the Tampa Bay Export Alliance, and a spotlight on Cuba.

Following the morning keynote, presented by Lufthansa, the “State of International” panel will explore the results of the Tampa Bay Export Alliance’s first year of collaboration and give attendees a preview of the exciting developments on the international business horizon.

For those looking to break into markets overseas, “Trade Behind the Scenes: The Real Story Told by Veterans” will be the highlight of the program.

The panel, comprised of executives who have participated on previous missions, will discuss what happens on a trade mission, what a first time exporter can expect when meeting with prospects in a foreign market, and the success they’ve had in establishing commercial relationships in foreign markets. Custom Manufacturing & Engineering and SOS Technologies will share their “war stories” and explain what prompted them to turn their attention to overseas markets. These first-hand accounts of what it’s like to do business internationally will prove to be invaluable to those looking to pursue similar goals. Representatives from Enterprise Florida, Ex-Im Bank, the Small Business Development Center, and the United States Department of Commerce will also participate on the panel, explaining how they have assisted companies that are doing business internationally and how businesses interested in using their services can get started.
