Principal and Managing Director
Sarah, Principal and Managing Director of Gensler’s Tampa office, spearheads client relationships, talent development, office strategy, operations, and business development. Her expertise blends exceptional technical skills with a profound commitment to client relationships. Her dedication to personal attention and delivering innovative, business-focused solutions has earned her clients’ trust. She views each design challenge as an opportunity to innovate, continuously evolving smarter and more integrated design solutions.
At Gensler, Sarah has led a diverse portfolio of architecture and interior design projects across various sectors, including Developer Office Buildings, Build-to-Suit, Corporate Workplace, Sciences, Financial Services, Retail, and Master Planning. She plays a crucial role in mentoring her colleagues and has been instrumental in the growth and market expansion of Gensler’s Tampa office.
Sarah’s creativity and problem-solving skills extend to her community involvement. She has actively engaged with several organizations, including Leadership Tampa Bay (class of 2023), Real Estate Investment Council, Tampa Downtown Partnership, CREW Tampa Bay, American Institute of Architects, Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County, and Gasparilla Festival of the Arts.
Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Architecture from the University of Florida. She is a Licensed Architect and Interior Designer in the State of Florida and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Bert Olivia
Co-Managing Director
As a Co-Managing Director of Gensler’s Tampa office, Bert has developed relationships and led projects
with an extensive roster of corporate, professional services, financial services, mixed-use, retail and
hospitality clients, locally and across the U.S.
Bert specializes in leading national accounts, where he serves as a client steward to ensure continuity among projects and teams. Bert has overseen the design and delivery of millions of square feet of law firm space and is a member of Gensler’s Law Firm Task Force.
He participates in the professional community as a member of the International Interior Design Association and CoreNet Global, and he has received numerous design awards from the AmericanInstitute of Architects Tampa Bay Chapter. He is committed to the Tampa community and is active with the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and Tampa Downtown Partnership. A licensed interior designer, Bert earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Catholic University of America
