Kara Bosworth_500x500Earlier this month, the Tampa Hillsborough EDC’s Business Development team added another key player. Kara Bosworth has joined us as an associate business development manager after previously serving as the Tampa Bay regional representative for Governor Rick Scott.

Kara’s duties will include proactively reaching out to Hillsborough County businesses to address growth and expansion needs as well as managing a pipeline of business recruitment projects.

In her prior role as the Tampa Bay regional representative for Governor Scott, Kara was responsible for the planning and execution of gubernatorial visits to the area in support of economic development, job creation, and education projects and initiatives. She held several different roles during her time with the Executive Office of the Governor, including staff roles with First Lady Ann Scott and Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera, beginning when she was still a student at Florida State University, where she earned her degree in Marketing.

“We are thrilled to have Kara on board,” said Steve Morey, Vice President of Business Development. “She is going to make a great addition to the team in our efforts to grow Tampa and Hillsborough County as a prime location for business.”
