Sagitec Solutions, a St. Paul, Minn.-based firm that serves clients with pension, provident fund and unemployment software solutions, is expanding into Tampa Bay.

The company said Monday it plans to create up to 60 jobs here within two years, using the Tampa site to grow its client base in the eastern United States. The positions, with average annual salaries of $60,000, include software support specialists, software engineers, business analysts and human resources professionals.

Sagitec has four other offices in Kansas, Colorado, Missouri and California plus two locations in India.

“We are excited to establish our newest office in Tampa, a growing market for information technology services that offers us the skilled workforce, business climate and quality of life we sought for our East Coast presence,” Sanjay Bhasin, global head of human resources for Sagitec Solutions, said in a statement. “Tampa is the perfect location for us to launch our ambitious expansion plans for the Eastern United States and offers us easy access to our existing and future customers in this region.”

The company will operate its Tampa office from temporary space in the Hidden River Corporate Park while it works with commercial real estate firm CBRE to evaluate options for building a new 10,000 to 12,000-square-foot building in the New Tampa area.

The Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corp. helped Sagitec with local market business intelligence, custom property searches, relocation assistance and training grant opportunities.
