FOX 13 anchor and reporter Lloyd Sowers visited Norwalt Automation Group’s new 28,000-square-foot facility recently to check out its automation machinery that makes everything from labels for EpiPens to stick deodorant.
New Jersey-based Norwalt first expanded to Hillsborough County in 2022 and just two years later announced another expansion to a much larger facility and plans to create more jobs. Norwalt cited the quality of skilled talent it has found in Tampa as a contributing factor to its continued growth in our market.
And speaking of talent, Norwalt works with Hillsborough Community College and local technical schools for training and upskilling in order to build a larger high tech community around automation, which will benefit local employers as well as provide a better living for local residents.
