Tampa Bay Export Alliance mission to Colombia expected to generate $6.9 million in sales

On September 27-29, the Tampa Bay Export Alliance hosted its sixth regional export sales mission to Bogota, Colombia.

Nine local companies participated in the Gold Key Service (GKS) Matchmaking program, which sets up one-on-one meetings with potential customers. More than 130 meetings were conducted over the short timeframe. From these meetings, companies are expected to create approximately $6.9 million in sales.

In addition to the personalized meetings, the Colombia mission included several other networking events and information sessions, including:
– Welcome dinner at Andres Carne de Res
– Commercial breakfast briefing by U.S. Embassy/Department of Commerce
– Breakfast seminar in partnership with the AMCHAM, Advantages of Doing Business in Tampa Bay followed by a networking event
– Roundtable meeting with local investor/partner, Holland & Knight
– Welcome Reception hosted by U.S. Ambassador Whitaker
– Regional Briefing at the U.S. Embassy

Mission sponsors included Port Tampa Bay and Tampa International Airport.  Official mission partners included U.S. Commercial Service and Enterprise Florida. In-kind contribution by Holland & Knight.
