The EDC team returned from a nice, long July 4th weekend and kicked right back into high gear with the announcement of two new headquarter projects.

Corin USA announced the expansion of its U.S. headquarters in Tampa, adding 100 new high-wage jobs in the areas of marketing, operations, and sales, among other administrative roles. The global manufacturer of orthopedic devices and high-tech solutions to improve surgical procedures will invest half a million dollars in its new offices in Citrus Park. The company, which today employs 30 individuals locally, is bullish on the Tampa market’s future prospects.

“We are fortunate to have such strong growth, which has enabled rapid expansion of our staff and facilities,” said Paul Berman, president of Corin USA. “Tampa has been and will continue to be a corridor of technological and healthcare innovation, which creates a strong base for talent and collaborative partnerships with other adjacent industries.”

Vendita, a global technology and software development company, also announced that it will be relocating its headquarters from Toledo, Ohio to Tampa on July 5. The company, which specializes in custom solutions for enterprise users of Oracle and IBM products and services, will create up to 15 new high-wage positions, including database administrators and developers, sales professionals, and administrative staff.

As of July 6, the EDC has closed 19 projects for fiscal year 2017, resulting in 2,013 new jobs and more than $115.6 million in capital investment in Hillsborough County.
