QOZ 2.0 Census Tract Nominations Request Form

The Tampa Bay EDC is working with the city of Tampa and Hillsborough County to identify potential census tracts that qualify under the new regulations for Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZ 2.0). Our plan is to present a recommendation for designating Hillsborough County’s QOZ 2.0 census tracts to state of Florida.

The Tampa Bay EDC is working with the city of Tampa and Hillsborough County to identify potential census tracts that qualify under the new regulations for Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZ 2.0). Our plan is to present a recommendation for designating Hillsborough County’s QOZ 2.0 census tracts to the state of Florida. Beginning July 1, 2026, governors will have 90 days to nominate up to 25 percent of eligible low-income census tracts as OZs. These designations will remain in place for 10 years and cannot be revised.

Step 1:  Click here and input the address of your project to determine if it’s in a potential QOZ 2.0 census tract.
Step 2:  If yes, select census tract number from the list below and complete the form.
Step 3:  Submit
Is your project in a potential QOZ 2.0 Eligible Census Tract? If yes, complete the form below.
Describe the project likely to benefit directly from investment. Complete a new form if multiple projects are in different census tracts.
