Lauren Coop
Senior Vice President & Tampa Market Leader

Lauren Coup joined Highwoods Properties in 2021 as Senior Director of Leasing and, in just four years, advanced to her current role as Senior Vice President and Tampa Market Leader. With more than two decades of experience in commercial real estate, Lauren has established herself as a key leader in the Tampa Bay office market.

Prior to Highwoods, she served over seven years as a Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield and held leadership roles at Avison Young—where she was Vice President and Office Leasing Specialist.

Lauren has overseen leasing for more than 6.6 million square feet of office space, including Class A towers and midrise campus-style properties. She specializes in repositioning underperforming assets, creating strategic market positioning, maximizing occupancy and rental rates, and implementing targeted marketing campaigns that drive results.

She is deeply involved in both the industry and the community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Westshore Alliance and NAIOP. Her philanthropic work includes raising over $85,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society—where she served as the 2016 MS Walk Tampa Bay Ambassador—and co-chairing a charitable tennis tournament for five years, which generated over $90,000 for local nonprofits.

In addition, Lauren volunteers with LifePath Hospice’s Center for Grieving Children and is a member of Hospice Women of Philanthropy.
