Mike Nursey
EVP, Central Florida Market President
Mike Nursey is the Central Florida Market President for Amerant Bank, focused on growth of the bank in the Tampa market as well as an eventual expansion across the I-4 corridor. Amerant Bank is working towards a five financial center network in the market to compliment its Commercial, Small Business and Private Banking efforts.
Nursey has had a 35-year banking career with leadership roles in Commercial, Middle Market, Corporate, Municipal and Small Business Banking. Prior to joining Amerant Bank, he was the North Florida Market President and Florida Middle Market Executive for TD Bank, and a Commercial Banking Executive at Regions Bank.
Nursey is a lifelong Florida resident and has been in Tampa for ten-years. Also deeply committed to giving back to the local community, Nursey has been serving on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics Florida since May 2018, the American Cancer Society-Tampa Bay Volunteer Leadership Board since April 2017, and as the Chairman of the Athletics Committee on the University of Tampa Board of Trustees since August 2015. Nursey is a graduate of Florida State University.
