Nancy Tower
Nancy Tower serves as president and chief executive officer of Tampa Electric Co.
In her previous role as chief corporate development officer for Emera, she focused on mergers and acquisitions and the advancement of strategic growth projects in the areas of electric and gas transmission and generation. Tower played a lead role in the deal that brought TECO Energy into the Emera group of companies.
Since Tower joined Emera in 1997, she has held senior positions in corporate finance and operations, including controller, vice president of Customer Operations for Nova Scotia Power and chief financial officer of Emera Inc.
Tower is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and a 2011 recipient of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award. She is a graduate of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Tower is a member of the Florida Council of 100, Enterprise Florida and the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corp. She serves on the Dalhousie University Faculty of Management Advisory Board. She previously served as the campaign co-chair of the United Way’s Halifax Region.
