Our delegation spent the following day touring the Weill Cornell Medical Center’s Belfer Research Building, which was designed to attract and retain the most accomplished principal investigators and research teams from across the globe, with our hosts from Ennead Architects. We traveled to Jersey City to visit with Frank La Salla, President, CEO and Director of DTCC, which will celebrate its 20th year in Tampa this November. Our team thanked Frank and his colleagues for their continued investment and growth in Hillsborough County and discussed the future of fintech. Later that evening, we headed to the Bronx for an exciting baseball game at Yankees Stadium, thanks to our generous investor Tony Bruno and the Yankees organization.
While we accomplish a great deal in a short time, I am often most grateful for the opportunity to spend a bit of downtime on the bus or after dinner catching up with our Investors, learning more about what’s going on in their businesses, and chatting about our families. We are truly fortunate to have such dedicated and community-minded leaders in the Tampa Bay EDC.
