Tampa Brass & Aluminum expands its Hillsborough County headquarters, creating 50 high-wage, high-skill jobs
Tampa, Fla. (September 14, 2026) – Tampa Brass & Aluminum, an advanced defense manufacturer serving the U.S. Air Force and Navy, is expanding its Hillsborough County headquarters following a series of new military contract awards. The company will add 50 jobs at an average wage of $83,200 and invest $58 million in new machinery and equipment.
Tampa Brass & Aluminum (TBA) provides full-service advanced manufacturing – from raw material to finished product – of missiles, submarine components and other mission-critical assets for the Air Force and Navy. Under new ownership and pursuing an ambitious growth plan, the company is hiring for roles including Non-Destructive Testing Technician, Non-Destructive Testing Supervisor, Quality Control Inspector, Welding Inspector and Nuclear Engineering Technician.
TBA selected Tampa for the expansion over Amarillo, Texas, citing the region’s quality of life and deep talent pipeline as decisive factors.

The Tampa Bay Economic Development Council supported the expansion by providing market analysis and convening regional partners to address utility sales tax exemptions, power upgrades, Quick Response Training grants and the development of an apprenticeship training center.
