Orion Edge expands into Hillsborough County’s Westshore District with an 8,008-square-foot lease and a $6 million capital investment
Tampa, Fla. (July 1, 2026) – Orion Edge, a local military defense company, recently signed an 8,008 square foot facility in the Hillsborough County Westshore District just months after relocating its headquarters to the region from Denver, CO. The company plans to add 25 new jobs at an average wage of $120,000 while the expansion will result in a $6 million capital investment over the course of the next three years. The expanded facility will be located at 5555 W. Waters Avenue, Tampa, FL 33634.
Orion Edge develops tactical electronic warfare solutions designed for the modern contested battlespace. Their products use machine speed autonomy logic to deliver instantaneous disruption of adversary digital data and uncrewed systems, protecting the warfighter and providing decisive spectrum overmatch in combat scenarios.

The company chose to relocate from Denver to Tampa in November 2025 after they experienced the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference in Tampa earlier the same year. Orion Edge immediately began working with the City of Tampa and the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council (EDC) on relocation for their company.

The expansion is also expected to strengthen Hillsborough County’s workforce by creating high-value engineering and manufacturing jobs.

The Tampa Bay Economic Development Council assisted Orion Edge with their workforce needs, providing demographic and market analysis data that informed the company’s decision to remain in the region and expand their operating footprint.

Orion Edge plans to announce a public ribbon cutting ceremony after they move into their new office space in early August.
