Automatic door manufacturer Autoslide relocating its North American headquarters from Glendale, California to Tampa

January 23, 2023

Tampa, Fla. (January 23, 2022) – Australia-based Autoslide, a leading manufacturer of automatic doors, has announced the relocation of its North American headquarters from Glendale, Calif. to Tampa, Fla. The company plans to create 15 jobs over the next two years in administration, finance, sales, technology, warehouse and production roles.

Company executives cited lower business costs, a larger pool of talent, closer proximity to existing customers, and access to Port Tampa Bay as major selling points for their relocation decision. As a result, Autoslide expects to bring more product assembly here from Australia, and with that, the possibility to create additional jobs.

“We see huge growth potential in Tampa. With the larger space we were able to secure here, we expect to fill 80% of our global orders from the Tampa facility,” said Joseph Castonguay, president of Autoslide North America. “I believe the migration of other tech companies out of California will continue over the next couple of years.  We’re excited to be in Tampa and to help this market grow its reputation as a top global business destination.”

Autoslide is leasing 6,840 square feet at 8507 Benjamin Road, Suite G., which will include office, showroom and warehouse space, as well as a training facility.

“This project aligns with several trends we’ve been seeing over the last couple of years – increase interest in foreign direct investment, strong activity from manufacturing companies, and corporate headquarters relocations,” said Angel Gonzalez, chair of the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council Regional President of SouthState Bank. “We’re proud to welcome an innovative company like Autoslide to our thriving business community and we look forward to supporting them as they grow here.”

Autoslide’s automatic door systems turn manual doors and windows into automatic doors and windows. It’s the first full line of automatic door systems that have been geared toward the residential market.
