CareerSource Tampa Bay and CareerSource Pinellas Earn Top Job Placements in January

Over 6,500 Tampa Bay Job Seekers Gained Employment
 
HILLSBOROUGH & PINELLAS COUNTIES (February 13, 2017) – In January, CareerSource Tampa Bay and CareerSource Pinellas ranked #1 and #2 respectively on the Governor’s Monthly Job Placement Report. For two consecutive months CareerSource Tampa Bay has ranked #1 on the report.

The Governor’s Monthly Job Placement Report, developed by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity and CareerSource Florida, highlights job placement achievement for the 24 workforce boards. The report was created in response to the Governor’s call for enhanced measurement of performance outcomes in workforce development that bolster the state’s economic recovery and growth.

Statewide 31,898 job seekers gained employment in January. Combined CareerSource Tampa Bay and CareerSource Pinellas contributed by placing over 20% of job seekers. CareerSource Tampa Bay ranked first in the State for job placements by assisting 4,022 job seekers with gaining employment and CareerSource Pinellas ranked second assisting 2,571 job seekers.
