DAS Health expands Tampa headquarters, plans to add 30 new high-wage jobs by 2018
April 19, 2017
TAMPA, Fla. – (April 19, 2017) – DAS Health, a nationwide provider of Health IT, management solutions, and consulting services, has announced that it will expand its Tampa headquarters. The company will add up to 30 new-to-Florida positions by 2018 in roles including information technology and client services. The new jobs will pay an average annual wage of at least $55,130.
“Tampa has an exceptional talent pool, essential to delivering superior customer service and support to our clients,” said David Schlaifer, CEO of DAS Health. “The quality of our local workforce combined with the outstanding support we received from the Tampa Hillsborough EDC, the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County and the state confirmed that expanding here instead of a regional office was the right decision.”
Founded in 2003, DAS Health is a steadfast partner and advocate of independent physician practices and groups, working to streamline workflows, increase efficiencies and productivity, protect earnings and improve profitability. The company offers a unique mix of health IT product, service and support platforms to help thousands of providers serve millions of patients.
DAS Health is also planning to invest in a significant build-out of its existing headquarters facility, located at 1000 Ashley Drive in Tampa.
The DAS Health expansion project was made possible through strong partnerships between Enterprise Florida, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County and the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation.
“Tampa has become a magnet for innovative entrepreneurs like David Schlaifer and his team at DAS Health,” said Mayor Bob Buckhorn, City of Tampa. “Their success, along with the success of so many other homegrown technology startups here, is proof that this city offers the talent, business climate, and quality of life that’s needed for IT businesses to thrive.”
“DAS Health is creating the kind of quality information technology jobs that our competing metro markets are working hard to bring to their communities,” said Stacy White, chairman of the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners. “We’re pleased that DAS Health chose to expand here and are excited about their future growth in Hillsborough County.”
DAS Health’s expansion was fueled by its 2016 acquisitions of ConXit Technology Group and three other companies in a short eight-month period, which doubled the organization’s size and solidified DAS Health as a leader in the delivery of patient-centric Health IT and management services. The growth made DAS Health one of the largest electronic health records (EHR) software and health IT providers in the country as well as extended the company’s IT solution offerings.
“Our EDC team is dedicated to helping local companies expand, connecting them with the resources they need to create more jobs and increase their investment in Hillsborough County,” said Dr. Ken Atwater, chairman of the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation and president of Hillsborough Community College. “We’re happy to have had the opportunity to assist DAS Health, and thank them for strengthening their commitment to this community.”
