Film and Digital Media Commission Reveals Sneak Peek At New Look

March 19, 2014

TAMPA, Fla. / The Tampa Hillsborough Film and Digital Media Commission will debut a new look today at the 2014 Gasparilla International Film Festival (GIFF), giving an estimated 15,000 attendees a sneak peek at reenergized efforts to position the community as a premier location for film and digital media production.

Operating under the marketing moniker Film Tampa Bay, the new commission logo is clean and modern, featuring an iconic mark with a nod to film, as well as the fast-growing digital media industry.  The logo appears in the GIFF program guide, as part of a playful advertisement reminding current and aspiring filmmakers to “get more for your movie here.”

“GIFF provides an incredible platform to market our community to industry up-and-comers, as well as top local talent,” said Dale Gordon, Executive Director of the Commission.  “This is a perfect opportunity to share our new look, and attitude, with a valuable audience in our own backyard.”

The new logo and ad campaign were developed by Trickey Jennus, a full service brand strategy and integrated marketing company based in South Tampa, under the leadership of Creative Chief and principal Tom Jennus.

Next month, the Commission is slated to reveal additional marketing elements, including a website and digital location library, along with a streamlined permitting process.
