IEDC to host leadership summit on social impact in Tampa

In February, economic development leaders from around the world will descend onto Tampa for the annual International Economic Development Council (IEDC) Leadership Summit. The 2020 Summit’s theme “Social Impact: Aligning Inclusion with Growth” will engage leaders with new strategies and inspiration for creating lasting and measurable social impact.

Conference programming, keynote speakers and subject matter experts will cover how to create a measurable social impact around the areas of talent attraction and retention, fostering economic opportunity, economic transformation, and marketing a region collaboratively.

Some familiar faces to the Tampa Bay area will serve as keynote speakers including Lorna Taylor, president and CEO of Premier Eye Care; Nadine Smith, executive director of Equality Florida; and Tim Moore, CEO of Diamond View Studios. They will address such topics as social responsibility, diversity, and sustainability.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore some of the Tampa Bay area’s most exciting new developments with optional tours of Water Street Tampa, Jabil’s new research facility, and St. Petersburg’s new Pier and Innovation District.
