New Competitive Sites program takes the guesswork out of site selection

October 17, 2016

PrintCompetitive Sites, a new initiative of Hillsborough County Economic Development, was launched to provide site selectors with thorough, reliable, and current information on some of the best development-ready locations in Tampa Bay.   The Competitive Sites team has painstakingly done the initial due diligence to identify, analyze, and inventory multiple sites with the capacity to support sizable industrial or office development – saving you time, mitigating your risk, and helping you make the best location decision for your business.   The reports provided for each Competitive Site are contained in a single, user-friendly package that includes property size, zoning type, future land use, aerial photo, development entitlements, utility infrastructure, and transportation access. Sites are available in diverse locations across Hillsborough County and the cities of Tampa, Temple Terrace and Plant City and include port, suburban, rural, and campus locations.   Properties with this designation are also entitled to an expedited review process that can reduce the review timeline by two to six weeks.   We invite you to check out the pre-screened inventory of development-ready Competitive Sites here and also join us for a webinar next month to better acquaint you with the new program.   The webinar will take place on November 15 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm EST. Host Ron Barton, Hillsborough County’s Assistant County Administrator for Economic Prosperity, will give an overview of Competitive Sites and answer any questions you may have.   Reserve your spot today.
