EDC connects Investors, growing companies at Meet the Projects event

Seven recently expanded or relocated companies shared updates on the success they’ve found in Hillsborough County earlier this month at the Tampa Hillsborough EDC’s Meet the Projects networking event. Hosted and sponsored by Cherry Bekaert, the event gave Investors an opportunity to hear why these companies chose Tampa and Hillsborough County, as well as how the EDC played a pivotal role in their expansion and relocation needs.

Executives from CleanPak Products, Cognizant, Cohesion, DAS Health, North American Roofing, Think Anew, and Velocity Resource Group provided candid narratives on their growth in Hillsborough County for the more than 50 attending Investors. From exponential staff growth to cutting their business costs, each of the companies sang Tampa and Hillsborough County’s praises on why it is such a great place to do business.

While Meet the Projects was created to introduce Investors to the CEOs running some of our market’s most exciting growing companies, the event also provides ample opportunities for new business partnerships.

“Not only was the final package appealing, but the passion the EDC expressed about the growth of the area convinced us that Tampa checked all of the boxes,” said Kelly Wade, CEO, North American Roofing, a 38-year-old company that recently relocated its headquarters to Tampa from Asheville, NC.
