Film Tampa Bay co-hosts New Faces of Women in Film panel discussion at Tampa Theater

On July 29th, scores of local film professionals attended The New Face of Women in Film panel discussion and networking event hosted by the Tampa Hillsborough Film and Digital Media Commission (Film Tampa Bay), Women in Film & Television-Florida (WIFT-FL), and the Tampa Theater.
 
 
The panel featured Darcy McKinnon, Executive Director for New Orleans Video Access Center (NOVAC); Biliana Grozdanova, Programming Director for NOVAC; Grace McPhillips, Executive Producer for Sterling Rock Productions; and Holly Payberg-Torroija, Writer and Producer for Turtle in a Party Dress Productions.  The four film and digital media executives discussed various tactics to help attendees advance their careers in the industry.
 
 
“The Film Commission is committed to bringing high-level educational opportunities to the Tampa Bay area and providing creative outlets for female filmmakers,” said Dale Gordon, Executive Director of Film Tampa Bay and a member of WIFT-FL’s Board of Directors.
