Norwalt expands to Tampa with second location

Tampa, Fla. (December 13, 2022) – Norwalt, a preferred resource in elite automation machinery, has announced an expansion to Hillsborough County with plans to create 30+ new jobs over the next two years while launching a new product patent. The jobs created will be in production, including electromechanical and assembly technicians with an average wage of $60k+.
Headquartered in New Jersey, Norwalt’s Hillsborough facility will be its second expansion stage of its future growth. The company is investing heavily in state-of-the-art machinery and equipment for its new facility. It will initially lease 10,000 square feet of space from Cirkul, a Tampa-based beverage company and a Norwalt customer, as it ramps up local operations. As the company continues to grow, it plans to invest in a new property of its own.
“As we were planning to launch a new product patent, and our ever-increasing order bank, it was clear we needed to open a second location to support our expansion,” said Mike Seitel, CEO of Norwalt. “Our friends at Cirkul raved about the Tampa community, and upon visiting the area we witnessed firsthand how all the community partners work collaboratively together. In that moment we knew we wanted to be a part of it.”

Norwalt has been recognized with the NJ Manufacturer of the Year Award by NJMEP and the 28th Annual New Jersey Family Business of the Year Award by the Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
The Tampa Bay EDC conducted a site visit with Norwalt’s leadership and connected them to local education and workforce partners, including Hillsborough Community College, Hillsborough County Public Schools, CareerSource Tampa Bay and AmSkills. Norwalt plans to partner with all of them to establish apprenticeships and a strong talent pipeline, as well as supply training materials.
