United Hemispheres Selects Tampa Bay For New, High-Profile Economic Development Feature

April 16, 2013

TAMPA, Fla./Tampa Bay has been selected as the first region to be featured in a new economic development series by United Hemispheres, the onboard magazine for United Airline’s global fleet. Dossier: Tampa Bay, a 20+ page editorial profile on the regional business climate, will reach an estimated 12.3 million passengers.

Area economic development organizations, including the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation, the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Tampa Bay & Company and the Tampa Bay Partnership, will guide the content of the comprehensive report, in partnership with Hillsborough County, the City of Tampa, the City of Plant City and the City of Temple Terrace.

“This is an incredible opportunity to share the story of our great community with a massive worldwide audience,” said David Pizzo, Chair of the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation and Market President, West Florida for Florida Blue.  “We’re pleased that United Hemispheres has not only recognized our growing economic momentum, but also our forward-thinking approach to developing the next generation of business opportunities within the Tampa Bay region.”

The in-depth United Hemispheres feature will demonstrate why Tampa Bay is an ideal place to invest or relocate, focusing on the region’s global impact, business diversity and innovation. The article will be designed to answer the questions today’s corporate leaders are seeking, showcasing what makes Tampa Bay unique, how the region is addressing the changing economic landscape, and taking an inside look at corporate and economic development leaders across the region.

“We are overwhelmed with the support from the Tampa Bay leadership team and the business community in the region,” said Stephen Andrews, publisher of Hemispheres. “United’s global reach into the business travel market and Hemispheres unique ability to capture their undivided attention, Dossier will leave our readers fully informed about the infrastructure and opportunities to expand or relocate their business in Tampa Bay.”

The article will be on board flights throughout July 2013 and will be available on www.hemispheresmagazine.com, as well as the Hemispheres app for mobile devices.

United Hemispheres magazine is accepting input from business and community leaders who would like to contribute editorial or advertising support for the upcoming feature on Tampa Bay. If interested, contact Andrea Alexander at andrea.alexander@ink-global.com or (336) 404.6969 by Friday, April 19.
