And the awards keep rolling in for the Tampa Hillsborough EDC!

Already a multiple award winner, the EDC’s annual report won a gold Stevie Award, one of the world’s leading business awards. The Stevies, formally known as The American Business Awards, are open to all organizations operating in the United States and are one of seven prestigious global Stevie Awards programs.

The annual report also picked up a Silver Award of Distinction for the Communicator Awards in the associations category. tampabayedc.com earned a Silver Award of Distinction in the website for associations category as well. A leading international awards program, the Communicator Awards recognize big ideas in marketing and communications and are judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), which includes individuals from Condé Nast, Disney, Lockheed Martin, Yahoo!, and more. The awards program receives more than 6,000 entries, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.

Earlier this week, the EDC won a Florida Economic Development Council (FEDC) award in the single ad marketing category for our Behind the Scenes video produced by Spectrum. FEDC connects economic development stakeholders from across the state, and the awards highlight marketing and leadership excellence.

The nearly two-minute video highlights our work as well as recent successes, while featuring several EDC staff members hard at work and various scenes from around Tampa and Hillsborough County. Spectrum, who has produced work for Jack Hanna, Disney Cruise Line, and the Tampa Bay Lightning, have previously produced the HQ Spotlight series featuring Jeff Vinik, Elizabeth Smith, and Chuck and John Sykes for the EDC.

“These awards are such an honor for the marketing department and the entire organization,” said Michelle Bauer, vice president of marketing and communications. “They also offer further evidence of the exceptional and diverse creative talent in the Tampa market. Our agency of record, Trickey Jennus, created our stunning annual report; Haneke Design developed our multiple award winning web site; and Spectrum brought our work to life in the video. We’re lucky to have a highly collaborative and visionary team to help tell Tampa and Hillsborough County’s remarkable story.”
